Elaine gets her ID!!!!!!

Me and our dear friend Elaine after what we 'hope' is our final trip to social service offices for identification.

Elaine now has her Birth Certificate, Social Security Card and ID! It's been a long journey (almost a year) but so worth it to... see how proud she is to have these documents.

Now she can apply for a job, housing and all sorts of things she didn't think possible and we are really looking forward to taking the next step of her journey right by her side! Plus she is just SO fun to hang out with!!! Love ya Elaine!!

The faces of the homeless...

The "face of the homeless" is sometimes not what we expect...the last 2 nights we have had the honor of providing temporary homes for a clients 3 children while she works on getting into a new place for them to live. We are so honored that... God chose to let us protect these babies even if it's only for a few days, they are not on the street or living in a car. This client has brought the dream of what Ruth's Heart is all about to life! Please join us by praying for them, their mama (for this VERY selfless decision), and the volunteer families that provided safe homes for these precious babies. If you would like to provide financial support for this family or others like them, you can make a donation on our website www.ruthsheart.org or contact us for other needs this family has as they move into a new house. We would love to shower them with lots of household items and furniture if possible! Please share this so we can make this families reunion and new home glorious!

Food bag angel!

Just now at Wal-Mart with my dear friend Sherri buying food for emergency food bags to take to 2 families tonight...we got in line and an angel from Maples United Methodist Church told us to put our cart with hers and she bought $150 worth of emergency food! God shows up in the places you least expect...even Wal Mart! God Bless you dear friend for blessing this ministry!
