Consider for a moment having to GET and KEEP a job without a car or a place to live...I don't think I could do it...but it's a struggle that most of us don't have to think about every morning when we wake up.

 But that's not the case for everyone. 

One of the things we are so fortunate to do for people who begin working and do not have transportation is provide bus passes and shelter vouchers for them until they get paid the first time and can buy their own.   

 

Today, we heard from a client that is starting his SECOND WEEK OF WORK (Yeah!!) and we are so blessed to be able to provide his transportation.

  

Next week he will get his first paycheck and he will no longer have to worry about keeping his job due to a lack of transportation. So often, it's the little things that cause such hardship...it has cost this young man a total of $34.00 to keep a job long enough to get a paycheck. I think that is well worth it, don't you???

She is the mom that so many of you reached... out to when she moved from a family shelter into her how apartment several months ago. Please say a prayer today for our new client Delores who will be entering rehab today for her addiction to alcohol. She is a sweet woman and determined to make it this time! She will be going at about 3:00 this afternoon, please keep her in your prayers!
